Cashless meal payments at enterprise scale

The project required a centralized system for managing employee meal payments and employer-funded subsidies across a large industrial environment. The solution was designed to support more than 100,000 employees and over 100 canteens and food service locations across multiple production sites. Instead of introducing another employee-facing application, the system used existing RFID employee cards for identification and payments. It connected food providers, corporate accounting systems, payroll processes, and subsidy rules within a single transaction flow.

Challenge

Connecting a fragmented enterprise environment

The main challenge was not simply digitizing meal payments. The system had to operate across a large industrial group with different enterprises, food providers, accounting environments, and more than 100 food service locations.

Five different accounting environments had to work with the same payment logic, including SAP, 1C, Oracle, and internally developed systems. At the same time, transactions needed to remain fast enough for busy factory canteens and support complex employer subsidy rules.

The key requirements were:

  • Connect five different corporate accounting environments
  • Support multiple food providers and POS systems
  • Identify employees through existing RFID cards
  • Apply individual meal subsidies automatically
  • Process transaction data and eligibility in real time
  • Maintain centralized reporting across enterprises and providers

The goal was to make a highly fragmented enterprise environment operate as one consistent payment ecosystem.

Solution

One payment layer across the entire enterprise

Finamp developed the software using modules of the Finamp Fintech Platform, creating a central layer between corporate systems, employee identification infrastructure, and food service providers.

The system used RFID employee cards as the payment identifier. At checkout, employee data and eligibility could be verified, subsidy rules applied, and transaction information passed between the relevant systems without requiring an employee-facing application. The architecture also supported cached card data to maintain operational resilience.

The solution included:

  • Centralized employee identification through RFID cards
  • Configurable daily and shift-based subsidy rules
  • Integration with SAP, 1C, Oracle, and custom systems
  • REST APIs connecting corporate systems and food providers
  • Real-time transaction and service data exchange
  • Role-based reporting for supervisors, HR, and accounting teams

We delivered the core software platform, while full-scale rollout and implementation across the holding’s infrastructure were managed by the integration company.

Result

Enterprise payment infrastructure built for 100,000+ employees

The project delivered a centralized software foundation capable of connecting employee identification, meal payments, corporate subsidies, food providers, and multiple enterprise accounting systems. Rather than replacing existing infrastructure, the solution created a common payment and integration layer around it. This allowed the holding’s integrator to deploy the system across a highly heterogeneous enterprise environment while maintaining consistent financial and subsidy logic.
