Metinvest Holding, a major steel and mining company in Europe, operates across multiple sites with a focus on efficiency and employee welfare. To streamline meal payments and subsidy management, Metinvest partnered with Finamp, leveraging its white-label digital wallet platform.
This electronic cashless payment system automates transactions, reduces administrative costs, and enhances the dining experience for employees. Integrated with Metinvest’s existing systems, the solution provides a seamless, secure approach to managing meal benefits across diverse facilities.

Managing meal subsidies across a vast, fragmented network
Metinvest, with over 150,000 employees across more than 20 production plants, needed an automated system to manage employee meal payments, subsidies, and tracking efficiently. In these plants, canteen services are provided by subcontractors, and each group of plants operates its own ERP system, adding layers of complexity to meal management.
Managing meal subsidies across this network required a system that could handle:

- ✓Subcontractor-managed canteens that each needed to update food permits and meal transactions seamlessly

What Finamp built
A centralized system on Finamp’s Digital Wallet Platform
Finamp’s objective was to develop a centralized digital system to streamline and automate Metinvest’s meal payment and subsidy management across all plants, ensuring seamless synchronization between different ERP systems and subcontractor-managed canteens.
The build introduced:

- ✓System integration with each plant’s unique ERP, for real-time sync of food permits and meal transactions
- ✓NFC-based identification using employee NFC cards to streamline access and track meal subsidies accurately
- ✓Pilot testing & phased rollout in select plants before rolling out across all facilities
